Saturday, May 12 was L.M.E.A. District Solo and Ensemble Assessment, hosted here at Greenacres Middle School.  Students from throughout District VIII performed for the judges, and all students earning a rating of I (Superior) earned a medal.  Participating schools included Calvary Baptist Academy, Keithville Middle School, Greenacres Middle School, Byrd High School, Airline High School, Martin Luther King Middle School (Monroe), Benton Middle School and Youree Drive Middle School .  The results for Greenacres students are listed below:

Congratulations to the Advanced Choir for making all Superior rating and Best in Class at the Six Flags competition. 

Congratulations to the following Violin students, who participated in the Solo and Ensemble Competition at Elm Grove Middle School and received medals and ribbons:7th graders: Brookelynn McConnell, Valtia Palmer and LeeJessica Taylor who scored Excellent on their solos. 8th grader: Anahi Mijares, who scored the highest possible score of Superior on her solo.
